Yes, if you are based in Exeter or Essex in the UK. We can also support you virtually/over the telephone if you are based elsewhere in the UK.
How do you hold meetings?
However you'd like. Some of our clients feel more comfortable in their homes and seeing an advisor face-to-face while others prefer the telephone or Zoom.
Who will meet me? Who’s your core financial adviser?

Tracy Dove. I am TJD Financial Services' core financial adviser. Find out more about my experience and qualifications on the About page.

Who do you help?
Anyone. We provide financial advice for young adults to pensioners advice.
How many different types of mortgages are there?

Loads. The 2 main mortgage types are a 'fixed rate mortgage' and a 'variable rate mortgage'. A Fixed-Rate Mortgage is where the amount of interest on your payments does not change. It is normally set between 2-5 years.  A Variable Rate Mortgage is when the interest can change, and this will also change your repayments.

Some of the popular specific mortgages are:

  • Residential
  • Buy-to-Let
  • Re-mortgaging
  • 1st Time Buyer
  • HMOs
  • Bad Credi
I have bad credit. Will I still be able to get a mortgage?
Yes. Bad credit will not be a problem and won't prevent you from getting a mortgage. Our advisers are experienced in helping our clients with adverse credit. We work closely with several lenders who specialise in this area. There are plenty of bad credit mortgage options available.
Are all mortgages regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority?

No. Commercial lending and most Buy to Let mortgages are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. But don’t worry, we can help you find the ones that are and give you the best financial advice to make sure your property process is safe and secure.

What happens if I don’t keep up with payments on my mortgage?
It depends on the mortgage terms and conditions. We advise that your property may be repossessed if you do not keep up with repayments on your mortgage.
I haven't got anything prepared for my retirement or a pension plan. Can you help me?
Yes. We specialise in helping you understand your current situation and how to start preparing for retirement.
I have heard that investments or investments for a pension can fall. Is this true?
Sometimes, yes. The value of your pension investments and any income from them is not guaranteed to rise as some may fall. You may get back less money than you invest. This is mainly down to fund performance, inflation and other factors, but we can help you evaluate any potential risks and plan so you know what to expect.
Should I invest or save my money?
It depends on what you want the money for and your long-term goals. Savings is when you are putting money aside and it can earn interest. Investments are when you buy into an asset over a long period. This can include more risk, but studies have shown how investments can earn you more than a savings account over time. We can help you work out which option is better for your current situation and your future aspirations. The value of investments and any income from them can fall as well as rise and you may not get back the original amount invested
Are trusts and wills regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority?

No. Trusts and Wills are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Will writing is not part of The Openwork Partnership's services as is offered in our own right. The Openwork Partnership accepts no responsibility for this aspect of our business.
